You will find Suffolk County's rich heritage well preserved in our many museums. Some celebrate our maritime past while others keep alive the mansions and memories of the late 19th century. There is even a museum especially created to educate and entertain our youngest residents.
At the Heckscher Museum you will find both permanent and traveling collections of fine art, and an exceptional representation of 19th and 20th century American artists at the Parrish Museum in the Hamptons. You may visit the studio of Jackson Pollock, or view the works of contemporary Suffolk artists exhibited at one of the county's arts associations. They welcome all arts lovers and offer ample opportunities to share that love as a volunteer.
